How to See Only Your Friends' Posts on Facebook

Facebook buries this feature on purpose. Here's how to find it on every platform.

Tech Tips
Facebook's main feed mixes in ads, suggested posts, pages you never followed, and content from strangers. The Friends feed filters that out and shows only posts from people you're actually friends with -- but Facebook doesn't make it easy to find.
🖥️

PC / Desktop

facebook.com in a browser

1

Go to facebook.com and make sure you're logged in.

2

Look at the left sidebar on the home screen. Scroll down until you see a section called Feeds.

3

Under Feeds, click Friends. This is different from the Friends section used to manage your friend list.

4

Or type facebook.com/?filter=friends directly into your browser address bar and bookmark it for easy access.

📱

Android

Facebook app for Android

1

Open the Facebook app on your Android device.

2

Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the top right corner.

3

Scroll down and tap Feeds.

4

Tap Friends from the list of feed options.

🍎

iPhone / iOS

Facebook app for iPhone

1

Open the Facebook app on your iPhone.

2

Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of the screen.

3

Scroll down and tap Feeds.

4

Tap Friends to view only posts from your friends list.

Heads up

Facebook still injects some suggested content into the Friends feed -- they've been gradually degrading it over the years. It's cleaner than the main feed but not perfectly filtered. When you see unwanted posts, tap the three dots on that post and select Not interested or Hide all from [page] to train it over time.

Pro Tip

On desktop, bookmark facebook.com/?filter=friends so you can go straight there without hunting through the sidebar every time. On mobile, if the Feeds section disappears from the menu, check under "See more."
